20th MWKF Taikai Aftermath

First of all, thank you to all volunteers and participants who made the 20th MWKF Tournament possible.  Without you, it would not be possible.

Secondly, we would like to congratulate all the winners of the tournament, and Cochran sensei won 2nd place in Seniors!  Results will be posted later this week on this website and the MWKF website.  So stay tuned!

Finally, we would like to congratulate the following Minnehaha members who have successfully passed their exams on Sunday:

  • Justin Brunnette - Shodan
  • Jacob McClure - 2 Kyu
  • Hanae Tsujimoto - 2 Kyu

Actually, one more announcement.  University of Wisconsin will be hosting a team practice on November 15 & 16.  More detail will soon follow.

New Year’s Practice aftermath

First of all, big thanks to Hokkyokusei Dojo members who came all the way from Rochester to practice with us!

Unfortunately, I haven’t have time to upload the pictures yet. So check back in a few days!

Pictures are now up! Unfortunately, my video recorder took some lousy photos. I’ll have to bring my professional big gun next time! In the meantime, check them out!

Secondly, if you weren’t there, we have began to collect tournament entry and test applications for Detroit Taikai. So please download the forms and bring them to the dojo as soon as you can if you’re planning to go. So we know how many people are going and discuss carpooling options.

!Important: when you’re writing a check for the entry application, you should write it to Minnehaha Kendo Dojo because we will turn in our fees as a group. As for your testing fees, read the instructions carefully!

That’s it! Hope everyone enjoyed the fun keiko!
